Consultant or Senior Consultant - Capital Equipment Group

About the role

EY Parthenon, a strategic consulting firm combining strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance, is hiring a Consultant or Senior Consultant for its Capital Equipment Group. The role is based in Warringah, Sydney, and supports plant and equipment valuation and asset due diligence across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing plant and equipment valuation and asset due diligence services.
• Deliver expert advice and insights to clients in capital-intensive industries.
• Perform thorough asset valuations and asset management due diligence, helping clients understand the true value of their asset portfolios.

Required profile

• A recent graduate or someone with up to four years of experience in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Economics and Commerce.
• Or a professional currently working in an asset-related field, or someone with asset management or engineering experience looking to move into a new domain.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable; suitable fields include Engineering, Data Science or Mathematics, Property and Construction, Commerce or Finance.
• Prior experience in engineering or maintenance, business and/or plant and equipment valuation is favoured but not essential.

Required skills

• Experience in Microsoft Excel-based financial analysis.
• Proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Word.
• Good interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Experience with PowerBI or other data analytics packages is viewed favourably.
