Consultant - Group Strategy

About the role

Join Westpac’s Group Strategy team as a Consultant and work on the bank’s most complex, high‑impact strategic questions. You will translate ambiguous business problems into executive‑ready recommendations and help shape the future direction of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Break down ambiguous business issues and develop testable hypotheses.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modelling.
• Produce clear, structured slide decks and written materials for senior leaders.
• Own defined workstreams within larger strategy projects and deliver analytical work with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to shaping strategic options and provide decision‑support insights.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of professional strategy consulting experience, preferably from a top‑tier firm.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to build rapport across business functions.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and unfamiliar problems.
• Excellent analytical capability, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in small teams.
• Proficient use of safe and compliant AI tools to enhance productivity.
