Consultant Environmental Scientist

About the role

Onterris is seeking a Consultant Environmental Scientist to join its Contaminated Land and Water team in Adelaide. You will work alongside a large group of land and water professionals, delivering field investigations and high‑quality reporting for a variety of environmental projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver field investigations on soil, groundwater and surface water sites.
• Prepare clear, high‑quality technical reports.
• Act as the on‑site representative and primary client contact for Onterris.
• Attend business development meetings to support growth initiatives.
• Support project managers and maintain open communication while in the field.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years consulting experience in contaminated land.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Management or related discipline.
• Solid understanding of South Australian and national environmental frameworks.
• Confidence in field work with strong attention to detail.
