Consultant Anaesthetist - Regional Hospital (IMGs Welcome)

About the role

A full-time Consultant Anaesthetist position is open within a large regional referral health service offering acute and sub-acute care across a broad cross-border catchment. The role sits in an established consultant-led anaesthetic department inside a service undergoing major redevelopment to expand emergency and short-stay capacity. International Medical Graduates are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Broad anaesthetic exposure within a major regional referral setting
• Involvement in peri-operative medicine, acute and chronic pain management, education, audit, research and clinical leadership
• Join a department accredited for 104 weeks of training with ANZCA

Required profile

• Specialist registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
• Fellowship of ANZCA (FANZCA) or nearing completion
• Minimum 12 months of recent Consultant Anaesthetist experience
• For IMGs: eligible to submit a specialist assessment to ANZCA and assessed as partially or substantially comparable; visa pathways available
