Construction Surveyor - Metro Projects

About the role

A Perth-based Construction & Engineering group within RM Surveys is looking for Construction Surveyors to support the delivery of complex urban projects. You will work closely with builders, engineers and project managers to deliver precise set-out, verification and spatial data for metro projects such as civil works, commercial developments and urban infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee survey activities so they align with project scope and budget, and follow data management procedures for accessibility and compliance.
• Provide technical advice and support to clients and internal teams.
• Follow HSQE protocols, implement and maintain Safety Management Plans and project-specific SWMS, lead by example, run toolbox meetings, attend monthly department meetings and help with occurrence investigations.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, identify new opportunities and document client interactions and market trends.
• Keep equipment in good working order, report service needs and assist with calibration.
• Complete timesheets accurately and on time, take part in performance and development reviews and support the Department Manager in aligning outputs with the Integrated Management System.

Required profile

• Recognised surveying qualification relevant to construction or engineering.
• Previous experience in a Construction Surveying role.
• Proven commitment to safety and best-practice work methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach.
• Desirable but not essential: experience on regional or remote projects, exposure to major civil, infrastructure or resources projects, current White Card and driver's licence.
