Construction Labourer – Civil Works

About the role

This permanent full‑time role involves performing labouring duties on civil construction projects for a municipal organisation. You will work as part of a larger team, delivering safe, high‑quality outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out labouring tasks on civil construction sites under the direction of a Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of council‑owned plant, including rollers and vibrating equipment.
• Support the unit in delivering a customer‑focused service and efficient operations.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, using required safety equipment and safe work practices.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, plant and equipment in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and council policies.

Required profile

• Ability to perform manual work safely in accordance with OHS guidelines.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and teamwork orientation.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and pre‑employment medical assessment.

Required skills

• Operation of rollers and vibrating equipment.
• Use of minor construction plant and equipment.
• Knowledge of road law and road sign regulations.
