Configuration Lead – Critical Infrastructure

About the role

The Configuration Lead supports the Configuration Supervisor in managing a multi‑skilled team responsible for the configuration of critical facilities infrastructure, systems and equipment. The role ensures seamless changes to power, cooling, cabling and space within the Operations building while maintaining high service levels and minimizing mission risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team in planning, coordinating and executing infrastructure configuration changes, including hands‑on electrical, cable and fiber work.
• Review and advise on proposed infrastructure changes from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with change‑management practices.
• Prepare, update and manage documentation of facility standard configurations.
• Report power and cooling requirements to keep the Configuration Supervisor informed of deliverables.
• Promote health and safety, conduct risk assessments and support safety‑sensitive activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical field, preferably in data‑center or critical‑power environments.
• Leadership experience with project planning and configuration management.
• Ability to obtain and retain Top‑Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) or TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Valid US Master Electrician licence and ability to obtain an Australian White Card.
