Condition Assessor / Field Coordinator (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Condition Assessor / Field Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join its Northern Territory Buildings Team. You will assess and manage community infrastructure across Darwin, regional centres and remote communities throughout the NT, balancing office work with extensive field travel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments of facilities such as schools, health centres, offices, hospitals and police stations.
• Collect information on building services including air‑conditioning, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Identify and record building defects and potential safety issues.
• Arrange site access, confirm inspection requirements and coordinate inspection schedules.
• Organise accommodation, vehicles and travel arrangements for multi‑day inspection trips.
• Develop and maintain inspection programmes across the NT.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northern Territory, including remote communities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data recording.
• Excellent organisational skills for managing schedules and team logistics.
• Effective communication for liaising with site representatives.
• Ability to work independently and adapt flexibly to changing site conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Comfort with learning new digital systems.
