Concrete Finisher – Major Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Join RC Construction’s Northern Territory teams delivering major infrastructure projects across Darwin. We are looking for experienced Concrete Finishers to support FRP works on marine and defence sites, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out concrete finishing activities to achieve required surface finish and quality standards.
• Screed, edge, trowel and finish concrete surfaces in line with project specifications.
• Apply curing, sealing and protection methods as required.
• Repair and rectify concrete defects to maintain quality outcomes.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications accurately.
• Assist with reinforcing steel installation and concrete placement across the FRP cycle.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and Construction White Card.
• Demonstrated experience as a concrete finisher.
• Competent in operating EWPs and working safely at heights.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Concrete finishing techniques (screeding, edging, trowelling).
• Operating elevated work platforms (EWPs).
• Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
• Use of hand and power tools for concrete work.
