Concrete Estimator

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Australia is looking for a commercially minded Concrete Estimator to join its Rivervale Head Office. You will work alongside the Perth Metro Concrete Sales team, reviewing upcoming projects and tenders, completing concrete quantity take-offs and helping develop competitive supply proposals. The focus is on understanding how much concrete a project needs, its specification, timing and how the company can support it.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to complete accurate concrete quantity take-offs.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and pricing submissions for residential, commercial, industrial and civil projects.
• Assess project risks, assumptions and exclusions to ensure accurate, commercially sound proposals.
• Work with Sales, Operations, Logistics and Technical teams to develop competitive supply solutions.
• Build relationships with customers, contractors and project stakeholders during the tender process.
• Identify and track project opportunities across the WA construction market.
• Maintain accurate tender, forecasting and project pipeline information.
• Support successful project handovers and help improve estimating accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, construction materials, concrete, civil or structural construction.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Commercial acumen and confidence preparing quotations, tenders and pricing submissions.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative working across sales, operations and customer teams.
