Community & Member Engagement Officer

About the role

Australian Organic Limited is seeking a Community & Member Engagement Officer to strengthen and grow the organic industry community. The role focuses on building relationships, facilitating knowledge sharing, and representing the sector at events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing members and industry participants.
• Support member engagement, retention and satisfaction initiatives.
• Create meaningful touchpoints and community experiences.
• Coordinate outreach and engagement activities across the organic ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to enhance member value and participation.
• Act as a public‑facing representative at industry events, conferences and forums.
• Gather operator insights to inform organisational priorities and programs.
• Facilitate storytelling, knowledge sharing and community‑building activities.

Required profile

• Passionate about sustainable agriculture and the future of organic food.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable building relationships.
• Strong problem‑solving and facilitation abilities.
• Experience in community or member engagement within an industry context.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
