Community Engagement Manager – Data Center Community

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to design and deliver programs that strengthen relationships between AWS data‑center operations and the surrounding communities in Australia. Based in Melbourne, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure AWS is a good neighbor and a trusted partner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute community engagement strategies aligned with AWS safety, security and sustainability goals.
• Launch, scale and monitor social‑impact programs that benefit local residents and organizations.
• Act as the primary liaison between AWS and community groups, government agencies, NGOs and local leaders.
• Organise and facilitate community meetings, events, workshops and volunteer initiatives.
• Maintain communication channels, track engagement metrics and report on program outcomes.
• Gather community feedback, address concerns and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience managing community outreach or social‑impact programs.
• Proactive, organized and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
