Community-Based Physiotherapist

About the role

A community-based team is looking for a Physiotherapist to work with clients in their own homes and local communities, rather than in hospital wards or back-to-back clinic appointments. The role suits graduate physiotherapists through to experienced clinicians and offers a mix of community, team and office work.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients to understand their goals and give practical, personalised physiotherapy support
• Complete functional and mobility assessments
• Develop personalised exercise and rehabilitation programs
• Support strength, balance, mobility and falls prevention
• Recommend equipment and mobility aids
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans
• Build relationships with clients, families and carers
• Work closely with Allied Health and care teams

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
• Genuine interest in community-based care
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for helping people maintain independence
• Current driver's licence
