Common Area Housekeeper / Cleaner

About the role

Minor Hotels is expanding its housekeeping team at Avani Broadbeach Residences. The Common Area Housekeeper / Cleaner will be responsible for keeping all shared guest spaces spotless and welcoming, working on a rotating roster that includes weekdays and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common guest areas to the highest hygiene and visual standards.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards while using specialised cleaning equipment.
• Build professional relationships with colleagues and guests to foster a respectful work environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

• Full‑time and part‑time positions with a rotating roster.
• Hourly rates (excluding superannuation): $24.95 /hr Monday‑Friday, $31.19 /hr Saturday, $37.43 /hr Sunday.
