Commercial Director

About the role

ACCIONA is expanding its Origination team in Australia and seeks a Commercial Director to lead commercial strategy on nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will shape pricing, risk allocation and contract structures to win high‑value road, rail, water and energy programmes that serve communities for decades.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy across allocated bids and pursuits.
• Structure pricing, risk allocation and contract terms.
• Negotiate commercial terms with clients, partners and subcontractors.
• Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risk on tenders.
• Partner with estimating and engineering to build competitive bids.
• Manage joint‑venture, alliance and consortium commercial arrangements.
• Mentor and develop commercial team members across Origination.

Required profile

• Degree in quantity surveying, law, commerce or engineering.
• Extensive experience in commercial leadership on major infrastructure bids.
• Strong track record negotiating complex contracts and JV structures.
• Deep understanding of risk allocation and tender pricing strategy.
• Proven ability to lead and develop commercial teams.
