Coffee Trolley Volunteer – Residential Care Woy Woy

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for a volunteer to bring café cheer to its Woy Woy aged care home. You will roll through the halls with a coffee trolley, creating a warm, café-style moment for residents who are frail or living with dementia. The role is part of the volunteer visitors scheme and aims to improve quality of life and reduce isolation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve coffees using a simple pod machine and offer light refreshments
• Bring a friendly, welcoming presence to residents, offering a warm hello, a shared laugh or a gentle conversation
• Visit residents in their rooms, one hour per week, Monday to Friday, for a minimum of 6 months

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older
• NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Commitment of one hour per week for at least 6 months; a suitable day and time during the week can be agreed
