CNC Machinist (2 Positions Available)

About the role

A recruitment agency representing its client, Ace Wire Works (VIC) Pty Ltd, a manufacturer of wire and metal fabricated products, is hiring two full-time CNC machinist positions in Victoria. Candidates work with software and hardware, test and inspect products, services and software systems, and repair faulty programs and machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Write and interpret instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately
• Gather information from all relevant sources
• Program, set up and operate a CNC router
• Control machines and processes
• Inspect equipment, structures, materials and products
• Read and understand production and CAD drawings
• Maintain clear and honest communication and keep the work environment safe
• Keep learning and apply the latest relevant knowledge

Required profile

• Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist
• 1-2 years' experience in mechanical assembly preferred
• Recognized apprenticeship may be required
• Strong analytical, communication and computer skills, understanding of mathematics
• Ethical behaviour, attention to detail and self-motivation

Required skills

• Programming, setting and operating a CNC router
• Reading production and CAD drawings
• Trigonometry, geometry, statistics and algebra

What we offer

• Salary of $70,000 - $85,000 per annum depending on experience
