Cluster General Manager – Multi-Property Hotels

About the role

The Cluster General Manager (Hotels) leads a portfolio of Urban Rest properties across a defined region, reporting to the General Manager Australia. You will be accountable for financial performance, guest experience standards, people leadership and owner relationships, translating the company’s global strategy into consistent, high-quality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational oversight for all hotels in the assigned portfolio, ensuring brand standards, SOPs and guest experience frameworks are consistently applied.
• Conduct regular property visits to coach teams, assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Act as escalation point for complex operational, guest or building issues.
• Own the portfolio P&L, driving revenue, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR in partnership with revenue, sales and marketing functions.
• Deliver budgeted GOP, manage labour, COGS and maintenance costs, and monitor forecasts and demand trends.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities in long-stay, corporate and contracted business.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple hotel properties or comparable multi-site operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyse portfolio financials and drive profitability.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to owners and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability.
