Club General Manager - New Club, Strathpine

About the role

Fitness Cartel Health Clubs is launching a new club in Strathpine and is looking for a Club General Manager to lead the launch and build the club from the ground up. The role covers pre-sales, the launch and ongoing growth, working closely with the Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers and Directors. It is described as a high-reward leadership position with pre-sale commission potential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the launch of the Strathpine club and execute the pre-sale strategy to meet membership targets
• Recruit, train and inspire a founding team and create a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results
• Drive membership growth and community engagement through outreach, partnerships, referrals, B2B lead generation and events such as open days and club challenges
• Plan and run marketing campaigns including social media, SMS and email
• Monitor sales performance, retention and financial outcomes and report to senior leadership
• Use internal systems (Clubware, Debit Success, Gym Sales) to track leads, conversions and performance
• Support operational readiness for opening and oversee club operations, mentoring department leaders including those of the Crèche, Retail and Café

Required profile

• Proven leadership in a large "Big Box" gym environment (20+ staff, 2,000+ members)
• Experienced sales leader with a track record in KPI-driven environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport and influence others
• Organised, solutions-focused and growth-minded, with a passion for fitness
