Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Nuix is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement and manage security controls for its cloud‑based platforms. The role is critical for protecting data and systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of security controls for cloud platforms, aligning with ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST, IRAP and SOC 2.
• Conduct technical risk assessments of cloud infrastructure and applications, identifying gaps and recommending mitigations.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity technical controls, standards and procedures for cloud deployments in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Assist with third‑party security audits and assessments.
• Identify and assess vulnerabilities, risks and threats impacting Nuix’s platforms and applications.
• Implement and configure security controls across AWS and Azure services.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and remediation.

Required profile

• Strong background in cybersecurity engineering combined with cloud practice experience.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in securing cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of information security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with broader technology teams.
