Cloud Engineer

About the role

Join the Banking and Financial Services Cloud Technology team to design, build and operate automated, secure cloud platforms on GCP and AWS. You will lead technical decisions, mentor engineers and help shape the future of Macquarie's Digital Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architecture, design, development, testing and operations of cloud solutions.
• Administer Kubernetes at scale, including cluster lifecycle, networking, troubleshooting and production support.
• Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, Helm or Kustomize.
• Collaborate with application teams to enable and support cloud services.

Required profile

• Experience with hyperscale cloud providers, preferably GCP, in enterprise environments.
• Strong background in platform engineering and supporting production applications.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and promote best practices.

• HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management
• Go programming language (beneficial)
