Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) - Anaesthetic Research

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) for anaesthetic research, based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). This is a temporary part-time position of 20 hours per week until November 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role supports research by coordinating participant screening, recruitment and informed consent, contributing to data collection and management, and ensuring compliance with ethical and clinical practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate participant screening, recruitment and informed consent processes for research
• Contribute to high-quality data collection and management
• Ensure compliance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
• Apply problem-solving skills to support the delivery and management of research projects

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications
• At least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of the specified post-graduate qualification, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience leading and initiating activities that improve clinical service delivery and patient outcomes
• Experience in investigator-initiated research and ethics and governance submissions preferred but not essential
• Ability to work Monday to Friday; flexibility with days or fixed days offered
• Full working rights in Australia
