About the role

The Clinical Nurse will join the Medical and Surgical Ward at Broome Hospital, providing high‑quality nursing care to the Kimberley community. This role offers the chance to work in a stunning regional setting while making a tangible impact on patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for patients in the General Medical department.
• Act as a clinical resource, offering advanced supervision and support to registered nurses, enrolled nurses and nursing assistants.
• Provide orientation, education and mentorship to staff and patients, promoting holistic care.
• Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager with unit management tasks and quality‑risk initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated advanced nursing skills and decision‑making within a medical/surgical setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team‑leadership abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing education and teaching in the area of expertise.
