Clinical Nurse - Clinical Trial Coordinator (I-CARE)

About the role

This fixed-term temporary, part-time position is based in Brisbane North and works primarily with the Integrated Cancer Research Collaborative (I-CARE) team, sponsors, supporting departments and study participants within Cancer Care Services. It also supports and directs the registered nurse and other non-registered nursing staff in more complex situations. The role applies evidence-based, patient-centred care principles to support cancer care research and clinical trial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Practice according to the code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice, keeping current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
• Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver high-quality patient-centred care to patients taking part in clinical trials.
• Respond to and support patients whose health status changes suddenly, using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.

Required profile

• Nurse Grade 6 classification.
• Ability to carry out the accountabilities listed above in line with Metro North Health's values.
