Clinical Nurse - Cancer Care & Day Therapy Services

About the role

Logan Hospital is recruiting a Clinical Nurse for its Cancer Care and Day Therapy Services, a fixed-term temporary part-time position (7 months, 16 November 2026 to 30 June 2027) in the Brisbane-South, Logan area. The nurse provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership for patients receiving oncology, haematology and supportive therapies, working across the Cancer Day Therapy Unit and Day Therapy Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate safe, evidence-based care for patients with complex oncology and haematology needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, support staff development and promote best-practice nursing standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, research and service development.
• Support coordinated service delivery, staff supervision and patient flow across both units.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in oncology, haematology and complex patient care.
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical coordination skills, with a commitment to mentoring others.

Required skills

• Expertise in central venous access device management.
• Evidence-based practice, quality and safety.
