Client-side Project Manager – Superintendent

About the role

The Client-side Project Manager – Superintendent will oversee construction projects on behalf of VG’s clients, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. This full‑time, on‑site role based in Caringbah, NSW involves coordinating contractors and consultants, managing project programmes, and monitoring site activities for compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent role across multiple construction projects.
• Review and assess contractor progress claims and variations.
• Monitor construction programmes and identify potential delays or risks.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Manage project documentation, registers, and reporting.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality and compliance.
• Review inspection and test plans (ITPs) and monitor hold points.
• Support Practical Completion inspections and defect management.
• Prepare monthly project reports, variation registers, and risk registers.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with NCC, Development Consents, and Construction Certificate documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management or contract administration.
• Experience working with construction contracts and contract administration processes.
• Understanding of progress claims, variations, and extensions of time.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
