Cleaning Officer

About the role

A Facilities team is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaning Officer to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across client sites, keeping them safe and welcoming for staff and visitors. The position is part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces and waste removal
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, common areas and office spaces
• Replenish consumables such as toiletries, paper products and cleaning supplies
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers)
• Meet company and client quality standards and follow site schedules and WHS guidelines
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards and supply shortages
• Support team members and help with other tasks as needed

Required profile

• Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team
• Good communication skills and professional attitude
• White Card preferred but not essential; police check or Working With Children Check may be required depending on site
• Valid driver's licence is an advantage but not required
