Cleaner In Charge – School Cleaning Supervisor

About the role

The Cleaner In Charge leads the cleaning team at Dudley Park Primary School, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for students and staff. This permanent full‑time position starts in Term 3, 2026 and works closely with the Manager Corporate Services.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily cleaning schedules and allocate tasks to team members.
• Maintain accurate time records, monitor staff leave and arrange relief staff as needed.
• Provide induction and on‑the‑job training for new cleaning staff.
• Conduct monthly cleaning inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Education policies.
• Prepare and submit leave and allowance documentation accurately.

Required profile

• Experience supervising a cleaning or facilities team, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and adhere to departmental procedures.
• Valid Working With Children Check and clearance as required.
