Cleaner – Full-time/Part-time positions

About the role

Balga Primary School is seeking cleaners to join a pool of staff for permanent and fixed‑term positions, available on a full‑time or part‑time basis throughout the 2026 school year and into Term 2 2027. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain carpets, hard floor surfaces and windows inside the school.
• Sanitize toilets, furniture, fittings and remove rubbish.
• Dust surfaces and perform general indoor cleaning tasks.
• Clean external areas such as verandahs, covered walkways, drinking troughs and remove cobwebs.
• Ensure all cleaning activities follow health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Organised, honest, reliable and punctual.
• Commitment to providing a safe and hygienic school environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation.
• Understanding of safe cleaning procedures and practices.
