About the role

Mother Teresa Primary School, a Catholic ELC-Year 6 school in Canberra's Gungahlin region, is recruiting a full-time Classroom Teacher. The teacher plans, delivers and evaluates high-quality learning programs, creates inclusive learning environments, differentiates instruction and assesses student progress. The school emphasises student wellbeing, literacy programs and a collaborative, supportive professional culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning programs that support student growth and achievement
• Create engaging, inclusive learning environments and differentiate instruction for diverse needs
• Assess student progress and foster positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
• Promote student wellbeing and contribute to a safe, respectful school culture
• Maintain accurate records, communicate with stakeholders and take part in professional learning

Required profile

• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor of Education/Teaching or Master of Teaching
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
• Accreditation under Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
• Position involves working with children; appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening
