Classroom Teacher (Primary School)

About the role

The Classroom Teacher will join Holy Spirit Primary School to deliver high‑quality, differentiated learning for students from Preschool to Year 6. This temporary, 12‑month position replaces a staff member on parental leave and offers a supportive, faith‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons using approved teaching practices.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom that promotes academic success and student wellbeing.
• Conduct ongoing assessment, provide timely feedback and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and school leadership to build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or Master in Teaching.
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration and accreditation per Work Teach and Lead policy.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
