Civil Supervisor - Roadworks and Earthworks

About the role

A permanent full-time Civil Supervisor is sought by a civil infrastructure contractor operating in the northern region of Australia. The role is based in the northern suburbs of Darwin and leads earthworks and roadworks projects on-site, with hands-on leadership and extended hours including some weekends. Relocation support is offered to the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site crews, plant operators and subcontractors to deliver civil projects safely, on schedule and within specifications.
• Facilitate daily pre-start meetings and ensure compliance with drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor progress and quality standards and resolve site issues proactively.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams on resource scheduling and project coordination.
• Lead and supervise roadworks, earthworks and drainage activities across multiple sites.
• Enforce strict adherence to workplace health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in roadworks, bulk and detailed earthworks and drainage works.
• Valid machinery operation tickets, a white card and a current driver's licence.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including Saturdays.
• Legal eligibility to work permanently in Australia; sponsorship or work visas are not accepted.
