Civil Leading Hand - Transmission & Renewables Projects

About the role

CPP, a high-voltage infrastructure provider and member of Quanta Services, has a dedicated in-house Civil construction department that delivers scoping, estimating, management and construction of civil works across transmission lines, renewables and utility projects. As a Civil Leading Hand you will lead onsite earthworks and civil construction activities, supporting and mentoring your crew while working closely with Supervisors and Project Teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onsite earthworks and civil construction activities
• Mentor and support your crew
• Help drive a strong safety culture and maintain high-quality workmanship
• Ensure works are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a Civil Leading Hand, ideally in earthworks, civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience leading onsite crews with a safety-first culture
• Experience using civil survey equipment for earthworks and construction
• Sound understanding of bulk and detailed earthworks, site set-out and civil construction methods
• Current plant operating tickets and experience operating excavators, graders, loaders and skid steers; dozer experience highly regarded
• Current First Aid Certificate (essential)
• Construction White Card and a current driver's licence
• Ability to read plans, coordinate daily works and communicate with Supervisors, subcontractors and project teams
