Civil Leading Hand / Pipe Layer

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a leading civil construction company in Brisbane and is seeking experienced Civil Leading Hands and Pipe Layers for upcoming civil construction projects. The work involves coordinating civil crews and installing stormwater, sewer and drainage pipes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate civil crews on site and assist with daily site operations and planning
• Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors
• Oversee works to ensure safety, quality and productivity
• Install stormwater, sewer and drainage pipe and set up pipe runs, levels and grades
• Read and interpret plans and drawings
• Assist with trenching, bedding and backfilling, plus general civil labouring duties as required

Required profile

• Previous civil construction experience
• Previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand, Foreman or Senior Operator
• Previous pipe laying or drainage experience
• White Card
• Driver's licence and reliable transport
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Reliable, strong work ethic and able to work as part of a civil crew
