Chiller Service Technician

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Chiller Service Technician to join its Service Team in Australia. The role offers autonomy, technical challenges, and opportunities to develop leadership skills while working on diverse HVAC and industrial cooling projects.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to system breakdowns and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Commission chillers and HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal systems.
• Overhaul and fault‑find equipment, documenting and reporting results accurately.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide training and operational advice.

Required profile

• 4+ years’ experience as a technician in HVAC or industrial cooling.
• Strong background in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to pass pre‑employment medical and background checks.
