Childcare Assistant – Early Childhood Support

About the role

The Childcare Assistant role supports the delivery of high‑quality early childhood programs for children aged 0‑12 years. Working alongside qualified educators, you will help create safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children can learn and thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering educational programs across Long Day Care, Preschool, Before/After School Care and Vacation Care.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, families and the community.
• Support Educational Leaders in planning and implementing engaging learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records, observations and documentation for each child.
• Help ensure a safe, welcoming environment that promotes inclusion and belonging.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality early childhood education.
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

• Hourly rate $32.13 – $37.20 plus 12% superannuation and applicable Worker Retention Payment.
