Chemistry Technician I – Mine Site Laboratory

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Chemistry Technician to work in a mine‑site laboratory in Moranbah. The role involves method development, validation, instrument troubleshooting and calibration, providing high‑quality analytical data for fuel and mineral commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain analytical instruments.
• Conduct laboratory testing and interpret results.
• Provide accurate analytical reports to clients.
• Ensure data quality and meet turnaround requirements.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in Chemistry (e.g., BSc Chemistry highly regarded).
• Commitment to a safe working environment and adherence to SOPs.
• Experience with mineral processing principles and techniques.
• Ability to work with quality and continuous‑improvement systems.

Required skills

• Method development and validation.
• Instrument troubleshooting and calibration.
• Familiarity with mineral processing principles.
• Proficiency with laboratory LIMS.
• Strong analytical data interpretation.
