Chemistry Analyst Level IV

About the role

The Analyst Level IV will join the Instrumental Chemistry team to perform a broad range of routine and specialised analytical tests for food, dairy and contaminant samples. This permanent, full‑time afternoon‑shift position requires strong technical competence in data interpretation, instrument troubleshooting and compliance with laboratory quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform analytical testing using chromatography, spectrometric, electrometric, nutrient and contaminant analysis techniques.
• Interpret results, conduct calculations and authorise test batches in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and methods, and carry out routine calibration, maintenance and performance checks.
• Utilise Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry, review and result verification.
• Support team activities such as risk assessments, SOP reviews and mentorship of junior staff.
• Maintain strict health, safety and environmental compliance while focusing on customer requirements.

• Permanent full‑time position on an afternoon shift.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads to meet testing deadlines.

• Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and measurement uncertainty
• QA/QC data assessment and result authorisation
