Chef Supervisor - Aged Care Kitchen

About the role

Respect Aged Care is seeking a full-time Chef Supervisor to lead its aged care kitchen at Maleny Erowal, a site serving 82 residents. You will guide a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of residents. Previous experience as a Chef Supervisor in aged care is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that meet resident needs
• Manage menu planning, food preparation, service and quality control while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
• Order stock, manage inventory and suppliers, and control costs to minimise waste
• Lead, roster, delegate and support kitchen staff, ensuring effective workflows, coverage and a positive team culture

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a trade qualification
• Demonstrated hospitality experience
• Experience in aged care cooking, particularly in large-scale settings
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
• NDIS Check
• Ability to meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements
