Chef Manager - Workplace Catering

About the role

Eurest, part of Compass Group, is recruiting a full-time Chef Manager for its workplace catering business in Milson Island, New South Wales. The role is hands-on, covering planning, supervision and management of food production and menu-based catering, and is client-facing. The advertised pay is $92,000 base annually plus 12% superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and manage food production and menu-based catering onsite
• Develop seasonal menus and cost them, bringing passion, creativity and innovation
• Control stock, manage budgets and produce weekly and monthly financial reports
• Mentor and train staff
• Build positive customer and client relationships to meet partnership objectives
• Manage finances within budget and keep multi-service operations efficient
• Ensure contract compliance and understand the scope of work, including all OH&S compliance

Required profile

• Minimum Cert 4 Commercial Cookery qualification
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (mandatory)
• Thorough understanding of allergens
• Commitment to safety, compliance and high standards
• Good understanding of the NSW healthy eating framework
• Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality, customer-focused service
• Working with Children Check held or obtainable

Required skills

• Contract management experience highly regarded
• Solid financial understanding and reporting capability
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
