Chef Manager - New Eurest Site

About the role

A new Eurest site is being launched in Northmead, Parramatta, and Compass Group is looking for a passionate, innovative Chef Manager to build, lead and inspire a high-performing kitchen team. The role is full-time, with corporate hours Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 2:00pm, so evenings and weekends are free. The pay is $85,000 per year plus 12% superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and manage food production and the menu on site
• Handle stock control, budgets, weekly reporting and staff mentoring and training, front and back of house
• Build positive customer and client relationships to meet partnership objectives
• Manage finances within a budget and keep operations efficient
• Ensure contract compliance and understand the scope of work, including all OH&S compliance

Required profile

• Minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
• Understanding of allergen management and food safety policies and procedures
• Good understanding of the NSW healthy eating framework
• Experience working in bulk produce in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Client-facing role with strong people management and customer-focused service skills
• National Police Check required, or to be obtained

Required skills

• Full P&L management experience
• Menu creation, costing and roster management
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Contract management and client relationship experience highly regarded
