Chef de Partie, Pastry (Full Time)

About the role

The InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a full-time Chef de Partie Pastry to join its award-winning Culinary team. Working alongside the Head Pastry Chef, you will help deliver elegant desserts, artisan pastries and premium dining experiences across the resort, including events, conferences, weddings and special occasions. The role suits a motivated pastry professional wanting to develop their career in a luxury resort.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Pastry Chef in the daily operation of the Pastry Kitchen
• Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and bakery items to luxury resort standards
• Contribute to culinary experiences across restaurants, events, conferences, weddings and special occasions
• Maintain consistency, presentation and quality across all pastry offerings
• Support the training and development of junior culinary team members
• Help with stock control, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards are met at all times
• Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal offerings
• Work collaboratively with the wider Culinary team

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in a hotel, resort, premium venue or restaurant
• A recognised pastry or commercial cookery qualification
• Experience working with food safety systems and HACCP principles
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays

• Strong technical pastry skills across desserts, cakes, pastries and bakery production
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
