About the role

The Great Aussie Bush Camp is looking for a motivated and reliable Catering Assistant to support its kitchen and dining operations at the Wombaroo Camp near Mittagong, NSW. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and hands-on work in a busy kitchen, helping students, staff and guests feel welcome.

Key responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
Support meal service in a friendly and efficient way
Maintain clean and welcoming dining areas
Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils and equipment
Help with setup, pack-down and resetting service areas
Follow food safety, hygiene and dietary requirements
Work as part of a supportive, collaborative team

Required profile

Experience in catering, hospitality or food service, or a willingness to learn
Positive, reliable and team-focused attitude
Good time management and attention to cleanliness
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Legal right to work in Australia
Current (or willingness to obtain) a Working with Children Check, and a commitment to food safety, WHS and child-safe practices
