Catering Assistant – Residential Aged Care Kitchen

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team at our Guildford Village residential aged‑care facility. Working closely with the Chef and Cook, you will help deliver high‑quality meals and a pleasant hospitality experience for our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, clean and store utensils, dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Handle, sort, store and distribute food items according to safety standards.
• Wash, peel, chop, cook and assemble meals, including salads, sandwiches and desserts.
• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, floors and kitchen tools.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a residential aged‑care or similar facility.
• Knowledge of health‑and‑safety and food‑handling requirements in a healthcare environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions from the Cook or Hospitality Manager.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
• Right to work in Australia and willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
