Catering Assistant (Casual)

About the role

BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge, an aged care home in Dubbo with 81 single bedrooms and a Memory Care Wing, is looking for an experienced Catering Assistant. Meals are cooked fresh onsite by the professional catering team, with a variety of nutritionally balanced menu options each day. The role covers meal preparation and service delivery during mealtimes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages
• Clean kitchen, dining and café areas and equipment
• Take orders and operate POS and EFTPOS systems where applicable
• Assist with food preparation and reheating meals
• Ensure meals are delivered correctly and on time
• Cater to dietary requirements and follow the site Food Safety Program

Required profile

• Experience working with food and cleaning chemicals
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure with empathy and patience
• Understanding of and alignment with the organisation's values
