About the role
The Catering Assistant supports the kitchen team at Bethania Gardens, providing high‑quality food preparation and service to residents in an aged‑care setting. You will help ensure meals are safe, nutritious and delivered promptly, contributing to a comfortable dining experience for our community.
Key responsibilities
- Follow food preparation instructions from the Cook.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and food‑service areas.
- Monitor and adhere to individual dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines.
- Serve, plate and deliver meals to residents.
- Wash up, remove waste and keep the kitchen and dining areas tidy.
- Store food supplies at correct temperatures and manage stock levels.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a residential or aged‑care food service environment.
- Knowledge of health‑and‑safety and food‑safety standards in a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Right to work in Australia and willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
