Category Sourcing Specialist

About the role

CHC Helicopters Australia is looking for a Category Sourcing Specialist to join its Indirect Category Team in Perth. The role will manage procurement strategy for local Australian spend and selected global categories, supporting a wide range of indirect spend such as travel, facilities, IT, and corporate services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary Indirect Supply Chain lead for assigned categories.
• Develop and execute annual procurement strategies and project‑specific sourcing plans.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to identify savings opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
• Maintain full visibility of local suppliers and contracts, as well as global spend areas.
• Analyse spend data to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including team formation, requirement gathering, RFQ/RFP issuance, evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
• Document outcomes and report results to senior management.
