Casual Registered Nurse - FIFO from Geraldton (SKAO Village)

About the role

St John WA is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join its casual relief pool supporting the SKA Observatory (SKAO), a major science and engineering project building the world's largest radio astronomy telescope in Western Australia. The nurse provides coverage for annual leave and unplanned absences, delivering primary healthcare, occupational health and emergency response services to employees at the SKAO Village. The role suits nurses who can work autonomously in a remote setting; FIFO from Geraldton is preferred, though travel from Perth may be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare to employees living at the SKAO village.
• Assess, treat and manage a wide range of acute and non-acute presentations, and support occupational health, health promotion and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with professional, legislative and organisational requirements.
• Help keep the medical facility at the village safe, professional and well equipped.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in emergency or remote settings.
• Current CPR certificate, unrestricted Australian driver's licence and National Police Clearance Certificate.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and site assessment.
• Desirable: ALS certification, remote or mine site experience, and primary healthcare or general practice experience.
