About the role

Slade Pharmacy Kings Meadows in Launceston, Tasmania is looking for a casual pharmacist. The role suits pharmacists who want to step beyond the counter, build connections with customers and deliver personalised pharmacy care. Newly registered pharmacists are welcome to apply, as are those with unrestricted AHPRA general registration.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers and offer expert support and guidance.
• Educate and advise customers and staff on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and proper medicine use.
• Prepare prescriptions quickly and accurately.
• Give evidence-based advice on prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
• Collaborate with local health professionals.

Required profile

• Australian working rights for the duration of employment.
• Unrestricted AHPRA-general registration as a pharmacist.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with doctors and customers.
• Desirable: vaccination accreditation.
