Casual OSHC Educator (Unqualified)

About the role

Cardijn College is looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to join its Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team on a casual basis at the Galilee Campus. This entry‑level position works under supervision to deliver safe, inclusive and engaging OSHC and Vacation Care programs for children.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of OSHC and Vacation Care activities and daily routines.
• Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
• Assist with children’s wellbeing, personal care and inclusion needs.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members.
• Follow College policies, procedures and instructions from supervising educators.
• Maintain accurate records and perform basic administrative tasks.
• Participate in team meetings, training and professional learning opportunities.
• Model behaviour consistent with Catholic values and College expectations.

Required profile

• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of Cardijn College.
• Genuine interest in working with children in a care and education setting.
• Ability to follow direction and work cooperatively within a team.
• Effective communication skills and a positive, respectful approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop OSHC practice.
• Physical capacity to engage in active play and assist with setting up resources.
• Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and duty of care.
• Experience with children, including those with additional needs, is desirable but not required.
